Welcome
Software engineering notes, projects, and lessons from building systems
Hi, I’m Saksham Arora, a software engineer working across Python backend systems, React applications, search infrastructure, data pipelines, and containerized deployments.
I originally created this site in 2020 to document my Google Summer of Code journey. It has since grown into a place where I write about engineering problems I have investigated in real systems: why a search result disappears, where an API spends its time, what makes a large React form slow, and why a container build keeps reinstalling unchanged dependencies.
Recent technical articles include:
- How Mappings and Query Design Make or Break Search
- Profiling and Optimizing Python Serialization Pipelines
- Making React Forms Fast With Thousands of Rows
- Docker Build Cache Mechanics and Kubernetes Deployment
You can also read about my Google Summer of Code journey and the corresponding final project report.
The site is built with Hugo and the LoveIt theme. I will continue adding practical notes as I work through new architecture, performance, and platform-engineering problems.
